1986 S. Bamford Amoc Oulton Park, RTD after practice with seized crankshaft, when the engine was stripped we found the new crank ground tapered, rods made with too small big end bore - we could never check these measurements in those days.

2001 S. Bamford St. John Horsfall S’stone 10th overall 3rd in Class - Pre 59 - handled like a boat - later found someone had removed front roll bar completely !
The car was completely worn out after years of heavy use, it needed a complete new engine - the only parts useable were the cam covers, front covers & sprockets !.
A rebuilt gearbox, new back axle, propshaft, braking system, front & rear hubs, front suspension, wiring loom, modified fuel system to stop surge.
It also needed updating in line with modern safety standards, so it had an FIA seat, FIA fire extinguisher, FIA battery cutout, etc.

2007 C. Adams Silverstone Classic 14th overall Feltham race on the Historic Gp Circuit - this was after brakes & hubs only.
2008 C. Adams & S. Bamford Amoc Donington - all practice for the 3 events running engine & gearbox in.
2008 C. Adams Amoc Donington, Historic Championship Race - 10th overall, 3rd in Class A3
2008 S. Bamford Amoc Donington, 50s Sports Cars - 9th overall, Team 1st in Class
(NOTE - Steve wouldn't tell us what revs he was using !)
2008 Adams / Bamford Amoc Donington, FIA GT 30 minute race - 12th out of 13 Finishers, No Brakes & a misfire at 4800 rpm.
